veGNOME rewards for early FIAT investors
Genomes.io the platform behind GenomesDAO started working on the project way back in 2017. In the early days, pre Consensys Incubator in 2019, we were lucky enough to crowdfund some early investment.
We want to reward those who have put their faith in our team as we have grown from 5 to 20 full time staff.
The veGNOME model benefits DAO token holders by protecting the price of GNOME tokens by allowing holders to lock up their tokens for various benefits.
The first use case for veGNOME holders is to boost their GENE or GNOME rewards in Stablecoin Vaults at staking.genomes.io
We will be adding more benefits for veGNOME holders in the coming month, including but not limited to:
- Discount off Genomic Sequencing (when paid with crypto — GENE, GNOME, ETH)
- Boosting of Liquidity Pool vaults
- Distribution of GNOME to holders in a profit sharing model
We see veGNOME holders as super members of the DAO, with boosted voting rights. As such we will be locking 342,710 GNOME for 4 years for veGNOME for those who invested to claim, based on their FIAT investment.
