Fair warning to participate in Governance vote on potential GNOME communtiy rewards

The GenomesDAO team is proposing to release up to 1m GNOME (10% of supply) to projects that build out GenomesDAO awareness and community participation. GNOME is the GenomesDAO governance token. We are hopeful we can evolve this into something as successful as the ENS small grants program.

The exact terms of rewards will be defined if approved; maximum amount available per grant etc. (for example; we would much prefer to give 100 projects 10,000 GNOME than 1 project 1m GNOME)

Firstly this vote is just to confirm whether the community thinks we should make the tokens available.

As per UK law, Genomes,io is not recommending that users or potential users engage in crypto asset trading activity, and users or potential users of the platform should not regard this webpage or its contents as involving any form of recommendation, invitation or inducement to deal in crypto assets.

In order to vote — you will need to lock some GNOME for veGNOME here before the proposal is listed. https://vote.genomes.io/

You can lock GNOME for veGNOME on Polygon or Arbitrum.

The idea of snapshot is that only those that own veGNOME tokens at the point that the proposal is listed will be able to vote.

The proposals will run for 5 days and if they pass, will be executed in the following days.
