Migration of GENE and GNOME to Polygon (A “how to guide”)

GenomesDAO is becoming multichain — we are moving to Polygon and focussing all of our rewards on the Polygon chain for the foreseeable future.
In order to use the Polygon network, you will need to add Polygon to your Metamask or any other wallet you use. More details can be found about that here: https://docs.polygon.technology/docs/develop/metamask/config-polygon-on-metamask/
If you have $GENE or $GNOME in your wallet, there are 2 ways to migrate the tokens across to the Polygon Network:
Option A: With the assistance of the GenomesDAO team
Option A is cheaper and the GenomesDAO team will send you 1 MATIC, the token needed to make transactions on the Polygon network. Unlike the Ethereum mainnet, 1 MATIC is enough to make 100s of transactions on the network.
Option B: Using the Polygon Bridge yourself
Option A: Migrating GENE or GNOME with the assistance of the GenomesDAO team
This process will involve sending your tokens to the GenomesDAO hot wallet, we will then send you back your tokens on the Polygon network. So in total, there is just 1 transaction on mainnet Ethereum.

To start the process, send your GNOME or GENE to the following Genomes hot wallet. This is the address for the GenomesDAO hot wallet:

Option B. Using the Polygon Bridge yourself to Migrating GENE or GNOME (Faster than option 1, but may be more expensive).
1. Go to the the Polygon Bridge (this is a bridge from Ethereum to Polygon) https://wallet.polygon.technology/
2. Login to metamask
3. Select the bridge tab
4. Select the GENE or GNOME token to transfer across the bridge
5. You then follow the 4 steps on screen to sign the transfers using your wallet
5. After 15 mins or so, the GENE token will show up in your wallet. The token addresses to add to your wallet can be found below.
