How to trade $GENE and $GNOME tokens on Sushi

Thank you all for joining the GenomesDAO and participating in the $GENE public sale. Today we have 2 liquidity pools going live on Sushiswap!

These will be GENE/ETH and GNOME/ETH liquidity pools. This means you will be able to buy GENE or GNOME with ETH, and vice versa.

Liquidity pools are a place to pool tokens (which we sometimes call liquidity) so that users can use them to make trades in a decentralized way. These pools are created by users and decentralized apps (or Dapps, for short) who want to profit from their usage. To pool liquidity, the amounts a user supplies must be equally divided between two coins: the primary token (sometimes called the quote token) and the base token (usually ETH or a stable coin).

To trade GENE and GNOME — go to https://app.sushi.com/, you will see the following. Make sure your wallet is connected to the site.

It will automatically have ETH listed as one side of the trade. For the other side, you will need to search for the GENE and GNOME tokens. Click ‘select a token’

As there are many tokens with the same name these days, you can guarantee you have the right one by searching for the contract address. The contract address for each token is listed below:

$GENE contract address — 0x21413c119b0C11C5d96aE1bD328917bC5C8ED67E

$GNOME contract address — 0xE58Eb0Bb13a71d7B95c4C3cBE6Cb3DBb08f9cBFB

Below, I have added GNOME by searching for 0xE58Eb0Bb13a71d7B95c4C3cBE6Cb3DBb08f9cBFB

This now allows me to swap GENE or GNOME with ETH.

These are the only pools available at launch. GENE and GNOME from Genomes DAO are not available anywhere else.

A reminder.

To make the tokens easily visible in your wallet, you will need to add them. Below is how to do this for Metamask

To add tokens to metamask — click on assets, scroll to bottom, click on import tokens, custom tokens and enter the following addresses

$GENE contract address — 0x21413c119b0C11C5d96aE1bD328917bC5C8ED67E

$GNOME contract address — 0xE58Eb0Bb13a71d7B95c4C3cBE6Cb3DBb08f9cBFB
